Allergies are the sixth leading cause of chronic disease in North America. Approximately half of all North Americans test positive for one of the 10 most common allergens, including cat allergies. With 200 million cats and dogs in Canada and the US with over 40% of households owning pets, people are exposed to animal allergens when visiting friends and family or even in public spaces like schools and offices.
